About Us

Hello and welcome to That Silly Productions! We offer everything from children's murder mystery parties to bespoke pub quizzes, from cabaret variety nights to event music with a swing! We want to help you make your birthday celebration, wedding reception, anniversary or work party a creative, personal, fun (and silly) event.

I'm Miranda Dawe and I am an actress, comedienne, writer and singer. You can find out all about my professional performing here plus you can follow me on Twitter and Youtube. I offer all sorts of events and here is where they all now live!

After 16 years of experience of leading children's parties for many different companies I'm now branching out on my own to create ‘That Silly Whodunit’. You can rest assured that if you chose to book a 'Whodunit' party (or indeed any of our events) you will be getting years of party experience as well as a professional performer.

'21st Century Vaudeville' is a theatrical mix of my brilliant friends from the world of comedy and theatre performing: Stand Up, Sketches, Musical Theatre, Magic, Improvisation, Character Comedy and anything else that tickles our fancy. As a singer I can also be hired for events or care homes - check out my page 'That Swing Thing' for more on that plus music tracks.

My partner in crime in every sense (apart from ACTUAL crime) is Jim Daly

Jim is a stand-up comedian and you can read more about him here and follow him on Twitter here. Jim has gigged for Mirth Control, Funhouse Comedy, Pulp Comedy and other promoters as well as performing with Doc Brown, Mark Dolan, Holly Walsh, Kevin Day, Hal Cruttenden and was a semi-finalist at Golden Jesters in 2013 and 2014.

We met on a comedy course in 2012 and started ‘That Silly Quiz’ after being asked by a bar in Streatham to run their regular night. This summer we are hitting the Edinburgh Festival with our stand up show: 'That Silly Show' which will also feature some quizzing as we love it!

As a professional writer and journalist Jim has written for many national newspapers and websites,  plus as he is a massive Crystal Palace fan he has run the FYP fanzine for ten years featuring a regular podcast, hard copy, website and twitter with over 11,000 followers. His comedy football songs achieve hundreds of thousands of hits!

Since launching his stand up career he now makes comedy songs on all topics – ‘That Silly Song’ is your opportunity to commission your own song for a loved one or friend.

We hope you find all you need here to make your next event a silly one!

A big thank you to the amazing Seb Daly for taking all the photos of Jim and myself together. Solo pictures of me were taken by Jennie Scott & Elyse Marks.
